城鎮品牌獎競賽由全球品牌管理協會主辦，旨在推動將城鄉市鎮依特色塑造成獨有品牌，本所主動報名參加競賽，全國共有22鄉鎮市入圍，本鄉脫穎而出獲得銀獎，接受國家發展委員會主委陳美伶頒獎。</p> <p> 新港鄉對於城鄉發展相當重視，結合媽祖文化帶動文化經濟與觀光，讓新港鄉成為國際觀光亮點，新港鄉公所團隊推廣新港五寶產業—番茄、甜椒、洋桔梗、交趾陶及新港飴，為特色產業創造附加價值，開創交趾陶與香藝等文創產業；打造媽祖文化、出版新港傳神、新港哩賀旅遊書與指標性活動，來帶動本鄉觀光熱潮，並與日本飛驒市締結友好城市積極促成與國外學校交流，推動國際青少年交流與體驗活動，讓新港鄉成為國際觀光亮點。</p> <p> 鄉長林茂盛感謝各團體為新港的努力，打響新港-「媽祖文化 藝文小鎮」，提升本鄉競爭力與能見度，本次得獎榮耀歸於同仁及所有鄉民。鄉長表示「服務利他」是新港鄉公所團隊的精神，從smile服務理念出發，輔以《服務從「新」開始，「港」動由您開始》為口號，殷盼打造樂活宜居的魅力城鄉，行銷「新港品牌」躍上世界舞台。</p> <ul><li><a class="fancybox-buttons"
